Monthly meetings are held at the Lake Township Hall on the first Thursday of the month at 7:00 PM unless otherwise noted below or posted. In the event of a holiday, the meeting will be held on the following day, Friday, at 7:00 PM. Any changes, or special meetings (outside of those below), will be posted on the bulletin board at the back of the Township Hall as well as in the Upcoming Events section of the Home page. The meeting dates for 2026 are: January 2, 2026 February 5 2026 March 5, 2026 April 2, 2026   May 7, 2026 June 4, 2026 July 2, 2026 August 6, 2026   September 3, 2026 October 1, 2026 November 5, 2026 December 3, 2026 NOTE: Items in RED denote a change from the original schedule. Minutes (and videos of the meetings if available) (The documents below are PDF documents – see below for details.) 2026 February 5, 2026 — DRAFT, 2 pages, video January 2, 2026 — 2 pages, video Minutes for past years (2007 - 2025) Planning Commission Meetings Planning Commission meetings are held on the second Thursday of several months, typically February, April, June, September, and November, normally starting at 6:30 PM (unless otherwise stated) at the Lake Township Hall, 5153 Scenic Hwy (M-22), Honor, MI, 49640. These meetings are open to the public. (The April meeting is an organizational meeting.) Additional meetings may be scheduled as needed and will be published in the Record Patriot and posted at the Township Hall. The meeting dates set for 2026 are: • January 15, 2026 (note that the starting time is 7:00 PM for just this meeting) • February 19, 2026 • March 12, 2026 • March 26, 2026 • April 16, 2026 • May 21, 2026 (Red – denotes a change from the date originally scheduled)   Minutes (The documents below are PDF documents – see below for details.) 2026 February 19, 2026 – DRAFT – 1 page January 15, 2026 – 1 page Minutes for past years (2020-2025) Board of Review Meetings Description The purpose of the Board of Review is to review taxes, hear concerns of the citizens, and correct any errors. The board also hears requests for exemptions. Meeting Schedule They meet three times a year, typically March, July, and December, as mandated by the state, at the Lake Township Hall. The dates are not the same every year. Notices for these meetings will be posted on the Home page under Upcoming Events. Township Budget Meeting Minutes There are three meetings that happen annually for the township's budget: Budget Workshop, Budget Public Hearing, and Budget Adoption.
